I decided to go the weight loss first, exercise later with CICO (well, more CI than CO). I lost nearly 40 lbs because of it, and now I want to start incorporating running. I did my first run yesterday in 8 months, and it felt incredibly different! Thing I noticed:
- I felt lighter!
- My bum and thighs didn't heavily bounce when I hit pavement
- No pain in my knees or ankles
- I was out of breath after 15 minutes, and not 5 or less like before
- Didn't sweat as much
- Interestingly, my heartrate went down a lot faster for someone who hasn't done cardio in ages.
I am so happy with how the run went, and it's really motivating to not only lose more weight but also run more too.
