SV: Hit My Goal Weight of 30 Pounds Lost. Pic in Comment.

To all you wonderful people of r/loseit. Almost 5 months ago I started my weight loss journey to become a healthier, happier, and confident woman. People at work, classes, and at home have noticed a change and it is for the better. Through calorie in vs calories out I did a 500 calorie deficit and achieved 30 pounds worth of weight loss. I am F/26/SW 180.2/CW150/GW 150! Here I am feeling proud! (PS NSFW in underwear for day 1 pic) http://ift.tt/1M0UOqR Thank you my friends.

SV - Under 200 pounds! Progress pics included!

Thanks to Loseit and signing up for a DietBet, I went from 215 pounds down to 195! My goal weight is 135 by my birthday in December.

I've been tracking my calories and biking to work (about 7 miles each way) but I'm working on getting back in to running and hopefully beating my last marathon time. Thanks to everyone here for motivating me every day to be better. You guys are the best. ♡

Having a hard time staying healthy while sick...

I have been sick all week with some kind of flu or cold. And somehow it has actually been harder for me to eat healthy while sick. I'm not feeling well. Don't want to cook. And food is comfort, so I didn't particularly care if ordering out put me over my limit. Bought a huge greasy bacon cheeseburger and fries. Ate tons of snacks. You'd think being sick, I wouldn't want to eat that much junk, but I did. And of course, can't go to the gym and work it off, either.

Has anyone else had trouble with illnesses throwing them off? How did you get back on track?

NSV: Absolutely destroyed my first half marathon since I've started dieting and running again

When I first moved to DC, I was straight out of grad school where I didn't run and ate like crap and managed to get myself up to 235 pounds, and I was determined to end that.

I started watching my calorie intake, although not religiously, just making sure that I eat less than before, and started to run. Let me tell you, running when you are a big guy is hard! You can feel all the energy it takes just to move your body faster than it wants to go. I have been a runner for years until grad school and so now I was getting discouraged quickly. I ended up losing about 20 pounds through diet alone before actually getting serious in my running.

BEST ADVICE EVER: join a running group or find somebody who also runs and do it with them. I started out just running 3 miles at a time, usually back of the group, but about 4 months later I have lost another 20 pounds and am in front of the pack. I would say what got me there the most was to treat the runs seriously and run with somebody who is just a bit faster than you so that it forces you to push yourself.

It all culminated with the rock n roll half marathon this weekend. I was worried: I often start races too quick, would I hurt myself, I haven't trained more than 11 miles, so many things could go wrong. My goal was to hit under 2 hours, which is about a 9:10 mile pace, but I ENDED UP FINISHING in 1:46:50, WHICH IS 8:10 MILE PACE! This is including my miles 8,9 and 10 all being under 8 minutes. I don't know how it happened, but I'm so happy I can finally call myself a runner again.

How long after your period do you weigh yourself?

I'm still currently 3lbs heavier than when I last weighed myself and my period ended a day ago. I've been eating at maintenance this week so I shouldn't have gained any weight. Is this common, or have I been tracking incorrectly?

NSV - Jeans!

I can now just go into normal high street shops and buy jeans. No need to avoid them because only leggings or maternity pants are comfortable.

I am actually back in normal jeans!!

NSV: I threw away pizza

today I served myself two slices of leftover Dominos pepperoni pizza and got through the first one before logging both in MFP. I saw what eating that second slice would do to my macros for the day and decided fuck that and threw it in the trash. Ate an apple and drank a protein shake instead for the same amount of calories, didnt fuck up my macros, and still enjoyed it.
