First day is always the hardest! Declaration of change to keep me accountable.

I am 196 lbs. 22 yr old female. I'm 5'10" and struggle with chronic pain. I've let myself go in the past 5 years and it hurts. I'm going to therapy for some mental health issues and the rest of my life is slowly coming together. However, food and exercise are the single area where I've been struggling to change most. It is so easy to sit down and eat a bag of potato chips instead of making myself a real dinner. sigh I'm ready for change. I'm ready to feel like I'm a 22 yr old girl instead of a hobbling 80 yr old woman.

My goal weight is 150 and my UGW is 135. The last time I weighed that I fit into a pair of size 6 jeans and was comfortable with my size (even though it sounds unrealistically skinny to me now!). We'll see how it goes.

My plans are to stay the hell away from junk food. I tend to binge eat so learning to stave off hunger with healthy food and properly portioning things will be crucial to my success. Also, I will be talking to a mental health professional along the way about why I eat.

-I will enter my food into MyFitnessPal every day.

-I will be weighing myself every day as a part of my morning routine (at least for the beginning).

-I will start off every day with a smoothie because that usually sets me up for a good day of eating.

-My current goal is to limit myself to 1,200 calories a day and to avoid high fat foods (even healthy ones) and foods with added sugar. I have an incredibly sedentary lifestyle due to mobility and chronic pain issues so I think 1200 is a good number.

I want to feel great about myself! Hopefully being a part of r/Loseit! will help me keep on track for once. I have tried and failed so many times due to lack of accountability. I already have so many good habits so I think if I just cut out the bad ones and learn how to maintain the good I should succeed. Eventually I hope to add in exercise as well but I think getting my food on track needs to take priority right now. Can't exercise if you don't have enough energy :) Please let me know if you have any critiques or tips as far as my plan goes.

Oh, and here are some before pics! Kinda scary to be posting them here on reddit but here goes: http://ift.tt/1UcdK8o
