Is leaning forward a bit fine when squatting (Especially if you're new to it?) I can not go straight down/ATG. My butt is always way off the ground.

Is leaning forward a bit fine when squatting (Especially if you're new to it?) I can not go straight down/ATG. My butt is always way off the ground.And I always seem to lean forward too much. Should I lose some weight first before working on squats period?
