My 80lb weight gain transformation! 114-192lb and still growing!

My Transformation

Hey Reddit, my name is Agustin Juarez and I’ve decided to finally post my transformation. Here’s the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M4TuiGQLPoQ

Writeup:

When I was 14 years old, I finished middle school as one of the smallest guys in the class. I was average height, but I was not involved in any sports and I spent most of my free time watching tv or playing video games. I mostly played WoW and pokemon at the time. I enjoyed school and had a few friends, but I wasn’t what anyone would call popular. I had some popular friends and occasionally hung out with people outside of school, but usually I would head home and play WoW with my cousin. I wasn’t teased about my size, but I was definitely not very confident and wouldn't really have been able to defend myself if I had.

When I started high school, I made some new friends and lost some old. But going from being the oldest to the youngest in the building, as well as realizing I was actually underweight made me somewhat self conscious. All of the popular guys were fit, and nobody would really take a second look at my physique. So that summer I decided to start working out with a friend who had been on the football team.

Summer of 2012 was spent in the school weight room with two of my friends. We mostly used very poor form on a few exercises and yet due to noob gains we actually made pretty good progress. On my first days in there, I was actually pinned under 95lb bar on the bench press. When we got back from the summer, I successfully benched my first plate. I was still quite underweight, but I had achieved my first goal. My diet was shit, my programming was shit, and yet I was actually growing.

Fast forwarding to 2013, I was obessesed. I was reading about bodybuilding every day, and I was trying out all sorts of supplements. I was desperate to grow, and I actually began to learn about how calories worked. I realized I had been undereating and decided to push myself to eat more. My parents were not happy, and at first they let me have a bit of extra food but only because I was still somewhat underweight. I think around this time I might have eaten about half of what I eat now. In october, I posted my first 1 year progress picture. I had gained about 25lb since i started and I was very proud of myself. People’s reactions were mixed, with most of them being somewhat impressed but understandably, going from super bony to barely bony wasn’t that interesting. Word was starting to get around, and people at my school knew that one of my hobbies was working out.

In 2014 I met a wonderful girl named Taylor. My newfound confidence led me to talk to her and we started going out very quickly. She gave me confidence and always told me she liked me for me, however she first saw me through some videos a friend of her had taken at a party that I was at, making a fool of myself and flexing for the camera. I had gained another 15lb and was considered “strong” for my size. I was also in gr11, so being on the older half of the school I was actually getting to be one of the stronger guys at the school.

In 2015 I had been making great progress. I was in the 170-80 range throughout the year and graduated probably being 3rd or 4th strongest in my school, and most likely strongest in my weight range. People told me I was big, asked for workout advice, etc. I still gamed every single night and I was still not one of the popular kids, but people knew me. I had a close group of friends, one of them being my best friend and lifting partner, and life was great. After my mexico trip later in the year, I realized that I had done well for myself in highschool, but after watching all these fitness celebrities make money off their passion I decided that I wasn’t happy simply keeping this a hobby. I wanted to turn this into my lifestyle. So I really got my shit together. I started packing down the calories, I increased the intensity of my training and started focusing on my weak points. During december of 2015, I made more gains than I had in 4-5 month spans during the previous years. My strength, once stagnant, was soaring. I also got my first full time job.

I started off 2016 with a 40 hour work week, which turned into a 42.5 work week in february. I had a lot less time to train and see my girlfriend, but instead of giving up I made sure to prioritize my time. I trained on every single day I didn’t see her during the week, and saturdays. I was in the gym for 10 hours a week across 4 training days. I prepared my meals every night for work, and made myself extra oats to take to work.

On an average day, I will have breakfast at home, rolled oats with milk at work for a second breakfast, and 2 lunches. Then I will go home, have some carbs such as a poptart and then head to the gym. I will have a shake when I get home, dinner an hour later and then most likely a snack before bed at midnight. I do this every single weekday, with no excuses. This is how I changed my physique, and my life.

I’ve never done one of these before so I’m not sure if I’m missing anything, but if I am do let me know. I’d love to answer any questions you guys might have. I know I’m no pro yet, but I guarantee you if you keep checking on me you will be surprised by what I still have left in me.
