Hey guys!
I actually downloaded Plant Nanny which helps keep track of water drinking habits after reading a review someone posted on here - and it has been great! Because I'm 'forced' to drink more water now, my portion sizes have also been significantly reduced because I get full a lot faster.
However, I do have a few questions that I hope you guys can help me with:
1) For my weight (96kg/212lbs), it's recommended that I drink about 3.2l of water a day. However, I find it extremely difficult to consume that much every day. My history shows that I've only been able to consume that much about twice a week, the rest of the days I hit close to target, once in a while I drink really little (or forget to log it in before midnight strikes.) For people who use the app, do you guys consistently hit the daily targets? I do bring a water bottle when I go out but if I'm busy doing something, or if I run out of water and there's no cooler nearby to top it up, then I don't drink.
2) I work as a waitress maybe 3-4 times a week. I also do Zumba weekly. So technically I'm somewhat active. But I keep my activity level on Plant Nanny as 'sedentary' because there are days when I'm at home and I do very little besides stare at my computer screen. Should I be changing my activity levels? I realise that if I switch from 'sedentary' to 'active', it would mean me not hitting most of the daily targets since I've been drinking at this level for so long. Is that kinda cheating?
3) Last but not least! A really stupid question! (I think.) So I've cut out drinking soda completely because I started replacing eating dinner with drinking soda when I started waitressing (and realised quickly how bad it was). However, if I'm out with friends for a meal, I may sometimes get an iced tea or perhaps a juice. Can I count those into my water intake, or is that again cheating? Bonus stupid question: alcohol doesn't count... right?
I would also love to hear your experiences with the app if you have any, or perhaps similar questions to mine that I could perhaps attempt to answer as a complete water-drinking beginner (well, you get what I mean)!
