Im going through a very rough emotional time right now. Ive been to the doc, have therapy sessions lined up, so now its a waiting game.
Prior to this, I was beginning to lose weight through diet (I have well over 100lbs to lose). I had been doing a low carb/ high fat diet that seemed to really be working and was one that I could stick with.
Through this emotional time, I also bought a heavy punching bag to vent frustrations. I wouldn't call it a work out routine per se, but last night I ended up staying in the garage for an hour just pacing and hitting the bag. It was very therapeutic.
It was almost addicting how it made me feel, to get the frustration, anger, pain, everything out, it was like I couldn't leave until I was exhausted. So my question is, I know we are supposed to rest for our bodies to heal. How much harm am I doing to my body if I do this nightly? I take multi vitamins daily, and if I need to supplement with a protein shake or something I will. I just want a good balance between emotional health and physical health. Im hoping that it will lead to more of a work out routine, but for now, I consider this my "crawling before I walk".
