I'll be crucified for asking this, but what if I'm bulking on a calorie surplus, but a protein deficit? Example inside.So I have a ton of trouble eating enough to bulk, but I've found a way that works for me and usually ends up in me having somewhere in the neighbourhood of 35-75 g of protein daily. I'm making gains, slowly, but I'm wondering how much more I would be making if I had the right ammount of protein daily? I've just gone out and bought some protein powder, so I shouldn't be at a protein deficit anymore, but my question is: How necessary is protein REALLY? I've definitely made some gains with much much less than 1g/lb. As a matter of fact, I weigh roughly 180 Lbs now and a typical day would be ~60g protein for me.
