I was wondering what is the feasibility of a workout plan that balances out high rep and low rep lifting for the purpose of building muscle strength AND endurance concurrently.
For instance, bench press 2 sets of 15 reps to failure followed by 2 sets of 3-5 reps to failure.
This is just a very primitive and simple example but you get the gist. So, what do you guys think? Is it feasible? Is my thinking correct?
The reason I thought of this instead of simply alternating between weekly/monthly cycles of low reps/high reps is because I suspect that neurological adaptations could falter or weaken if you don't do them consistently. Hence, this kind of alternating cycles may be inefficient.
